Greg Davies - Introduction by Lorraine Stacker - Keynote Speaker, Dr Ian Jack, spoke about the history and development of the District of Evan - Dr Grace Karskens, Historian and Lecturer at the University of New South Wales, provided an insight into the people and landscape of Castlereagh - Ross Brownscombe detailed the various attempts to cross the Blue Mountains prior to the successful attempt by Blaxland, Lawson and Wentworth, accompanied by wonderful images of the Mountains at their very best - Peter Finlay gave us a fantastic summary of the history of aviation in Australia, concentrating on William Ewart 'Billy' Hart - Lorraine Stacker updated the Conference on the progress of the History of Penrith volume 2
