Ropes Creek Precinct Plan applies to land within the Ropes Creek Precinct and should be read in conjunction with the Eastern Precinct Plan. The purpose of the plan is to establish development controls to guide the planning process.

Ropes Creek corridor is located within the cities of Penrith and Blacktown. Ropes Creek is the boundary between these two local government areas.

The objectives of this study are to provide a framework for the protection of the existing bushland corridor, develop community involvement, develop an open space corridor and suggest a range of active and passive recreational opportunities.

This report sets out to determine the constraints and the oppportunities for the development of appropriate land uses and treatment of Ropes Creek Corridor and to form the basis of a submission to the Special Uses and Open Space Corridors Sub-Commitee.

Management strategy for the open space created in the St Marys ADI site in addition to the open space corridor already existing along Ropes and South Creeks. Establishes a management structure to implement the plan and manage the corridor long term.
