This publication was produced in 2019 to mark the centenary of the signing of the Treaty of Versailles, the formal end to the First World War. It accompanied the State Library of New South Wales exhibition Quick March! The Children of World War I, from 16 March to 13 October 2019.

The story of Leppington, written and illustrated by pupils of Year 6, Leppington Public School 1972 under the guidance of the Principle, Miss B. Allen, AM. The last two chapters were compiled by Year 6 pupils in 1982.
