The Wentworth Area Health Service was established on 1 August 1988. It was one of ten health services to promote, protect and maintain health of their communities. In January 2005, it was replaced by the Sydney West Area Health Service.

The Annual report was previously titled Mayoral Report 1960-1980, followed by title Performance Report 1981-1993. The Mayoral report also included the Triennial Report 1966-1968.

Wentworth Area Community Housing provides affordable, accessible, appropriate and secure housing to people on low incomes. WACH aims to provide this housing in a way that is responsive to peoples needs, and empowers them with a sense of ownership
