This profile has been developed to better understand the Penrith community and to provide them with a tool for planning and targeting their services to people from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.

The history of the settlement that would become the City of Penrith up to 1860. It is a history from Aboriginal times when the Dharug people lived in the area, settlement by the British settlers and the development of the colony of New South Wales.

This book contains information on Australia's involvement in eleven wars from the conflicts with the Maori in the 1860s in New Zealand to the Gulf War of 1990-91.
