Updated from City of Cities: A Plan for Sydney's future 2005 and integrated with the Metropolitan Transport Plan to deliver a new 25-year plan integrating land use, urban and funded-transport planning to provide a framework for sustainable growth.

Sydney Towards 2036 is the first step in a review of the Metropolitan Strategy City of Cities, a comprehensive long term strategic plan for the Sydney Region.

The concept was to review each vacant block of industrial zoned land in the Western/South Western regions of Sydney with regards to the current ownership, existing and intended use, services, constraints and land that is affected by other circumstances.
