This heritage management plan has been prepared to identify, protect and manage the heritage values of the site. It has been an ongoing defence facility since the 1940s when the US Air Force used the site as an ordnance depot.

The Station masters house was constructed in 1883 and the station has been in continual use ever since.. the residence ceased being used in the 1980s. The proposal is to renovate the building for adaptive reuse.
