A paper about the 'value' we place on the diverse communities in rural and regional Australia. While many non-metropolitan areas have experienced growth and stability, there are still people living with high levels of disadvantage.

This manual is to help planners throughout New South Wales assess rural land to make decisions on land zoning, management, planning and development. It contains procedures which could be undertaken with the assistance of various government agencies.

Fairfield City Council commissioned a rural lands study to be undertaken with the main objective being a document on which to base future land allocation strategies within the rural sector of the City of Fairfield.

This study was commissioned by Blacktown City Council to investigate the nature and circumstance of rural lands within the city.

Findings of the Rural Settlements Project set up to identify the major processes of change causing variations in metropolitan growth; the likely factors affecting growth over the next decade; and implications of change for non-metropolitan NSW.
