This photo is of the old Coles store in High Street taken in late 1959, not long after store opened in July 1959. Prior to this, Ron Barrett's Nuffield dealership was located on this site and was demolished to make way for this Coles variety store. He moved to new premises in High Street near Castlereagh Road. This Coles store closed in 1983, It did not return to Penrith CBD until 2022 inside Westfield Penrith.
