The Hawkesbury Agricultural College, was located at Richmond, NSW and was established in 1891. This college would later become the Hawkesbury Campus of the University of Western Sydney. The identities of the men is not known. The postcard was published in the 1980s to raise money for the Stable Square Restoration Fund at the college.
