This piece of land was granted to Nathanial Norton in 1821 and developed as a farm. In 1876, the property was purchased by William Jarrett, who commissioned the construction of the present mid-Victorian house and outbuilding. The building on the right was built by William Jarrett around 1878 and used as a dairy, creamery, men's quarters and kitchen. It was converted to a guest house in 1920. The building on the left is unknown.
