The home in this photograph is possibly a slab hut, typical to the early settlers. Mt Pleasant was the property of Samuel and Rosetta Terry. The girl is Mary Ann Gribble who was born in 1879. She is standing beside her mother, Grace Gribble. Grace and her husband Edward were market gardeners on the Mt Pleasant estate. The photograph was reproduced from the booklet 'Llandilo Public School Centenary 1866 - 1966.
