The tanners from St Marys at a tanner's picnic day in Springwood. Standing, in the centre of the picture is Andrew Thompson shown with both hands on the shoulders of Martin Brell. Thompson's tannery was situated in Saddington Street, St Marys and Martin Brell's tannery was near South Creek. On Martin Brell's left is Henry (Harry) Paskin who operated a tannery with brother Samuel Thomas on Stott's Creek at Werrington. Andrew Thompson died in 1918. Martin Brell died in 1934 and Henry (Harry) Paskin died in 1925
