Edenglassie was the first private home erected in Emu Plains by Sir Francis Forbes, the first Chief Justice of the Colony of NSW. It was named after one of Sir Francis Forbes estate in Scotland and derived from a combination of Edinburgh and Glasgow. Edenglassie was located at the extreme end of the present day River Road. A Happy New Year is stamped on the front. A black and white version of this postcard is available within this collection.
