The bowling club was formed in February 1941 with the original site being near Victoria bridge. The club built this original clubhouse on the present site. The Penrith Bowling Club was partially burnt down in February 1997 and temporary buildings were moved to the site until the club was rebuilt. The new club opened in March 1998.
