Andrew Thompson bought the property from Edgar Cox in 1897. Thompson established a large successful dairy farm along with adjoining farms, Rose Vale and Lockwood. It was located on Mamre Road, south of St Marys. Lenore dairy farm and the complex of buildings can be seen in the photograph. The large house on the hill is Tyrone which Andrew Thompson had built.
