Wallacia Post office was part of the general store operated by the Wallace family after whom the village of Wallacia was named. The postmistress was E Wallace who built a new office in 1907. She left in 1908 and John Fowler was appointed postmaster. The Fowler family would continue to run the office until 2015 when Margaret Fowler retired. This photo was taken in 1950, showing the post office with the riding school and milk bar. The car on the left is a 1939 Willy's Overland.
