This report provides Council with detail of the assessment of an opportunity to include a recital museum in the recently approved JSPAC extension project. the expanded Centre, as proposed, provides for a number of display areas which were to contain parts of the Dame Joan Sutherland Collection. In August 2003, the Chairman and General manager of the JSPAC approached Council seeking support for the conversion of part of the proposed music school to a recital museum to provide for a more extensive range and number of items than was originally planned.
