View shows the brigade waiting for the commencement of the Centenary Parade at St Marys. The parade was part of the 1971 Penrith Centenary celebrating the creation of the Municipal council in 1871. Brigade members are left to right Charles Oxenham, the Station Officer with volunteer firemen Richards, Soper, Jeffreys, Parkes and Transport Officer Levenham. The fire engine on the left is a Jaquar 400 made in 1970 with a Garford engine on the right. This engine was made in 1917.
