Edward John Morphett was the son of John and Rebecca Morphett who settled in Lenore Lane, Erskine Park. On the death of his parents Edward acquired 34 acres where he built his home. He married Mary Ann Orton (Horton) in 1888, who is pictured here with him. They had eight children.
