The Bank of New South Wales was located on the corner of High and Castlereagh Streets. The photograph was taken from the north side of High Street looking south west. The Nepean Theatre sign can be seen. The Bank of New South Wales disappeared in 1982, renamed Westpac. The Bank of New South Wales purchased the Commercial Bank of Australia.
