The railway bridge was designed by James Fraser, Engineer-in-Chief. It consisted of five iron trusses capable of taking heavier loads. Foundation work began in 1904 and was completed 1906. the superstructure, seen here was built by R. Tulloch and was opened to trains in 1907. The bridge is located on the northern side of the Victoria Bridge.
