The council chambers, situated on the corner of Henry and Station Streets, Penrith was opened in 1959. It remained the chambers until 1993 when Penrith City Council moved to the Penrith Civic Centre located in High Street. Note the unsurfaced road in the foreground. This is the start of the extension of Henry Street to Riley Street.
