Nepean College of Advanced Education opened in June 1977. It had grown out of an expansion of Westmead Teachers’ College in 1973. By 1976, business courses had commenced at Kingswood. Under the University of Western Sydney Act 1988, Nepean CAE was dissolved and the former college became an original network member of the University of Western Sydney on 1 January 1989.
