1833 - Land purchased by Charles Smith - John Grant purchased the property from Smith and remains with the Grant family until 1866 - 1858 Australian Arms Inn licence to Robert Beatson - Beatson's daughter Elizabeth married Andrew Turnbull and they lived in the house until 1909 - Property then became Emu Plains Post Office in 1911 operated by Minnie Sophia McKellar. Minnie died in 1948 and the postmistress office passed to her daughter Coral. It remained a post office until 1967. Coral remained in the house until 1980 when the house was severely burnt and Coral died from smoke inhalation.
