This publication contains history and information on local government records.

Aims to identify a number of starting points which can be used when studying local history; focus attention on various aspects of an area which can be studied; suggest questions; and provide avenues for finding the answers.

A primary goal when researching people from Germany is to locate the places from which they originated. This is important because specific locations are needed in order to proceed further: to obtain civil or church records of births, marriages and death.

This publication is intended to help local community groups prepare for the celebration of the Centenary of Federation in 2001. It contains information and pictures of historical buildings, bridges, monuments etc.

Based on a study of the impact of European land use on the Hawkesbury-Nepean catchment commissioned by the Water Board in 1992 (the Hawkesbury-Nepean Historic Environmental Changes Study), this book looks at environmental history of the river.
