A special survey of Werrington has been organised by health authorites to discover why parts of the suburb appear to be a hot spot for Ross Rover fever - In recent years up to 7 cases have been confirmed among residents living north of Dunheved Rd, near the ADI site - Dr Krishna Hort, associate director of population health with the Wentworth health service, said although the number of outbreaks was not high, other cases might have gone undiagnosed - Sample residents will be contacted by phone and asked about symptoms of Ross River virus infection - Symptoms of Ross River fever include fever, body aches, fatigue, joint swelling and a rash - Residents who would like more information about the survey should contact the Wentworth area health service publice health unit on 4734 3319.
