Catching the Light

Horton, Joanna2025
Books, Manuscripts
In the past, a mother (Sylvie) and daughter (Alice) join an artist's commune, where the mother begins a complicated relationship with the famous artist behind this small group. In the present, that artist's work is appearing in a retrospective - drawing attention to a painting of Alice - completed without Sylvie's knowledge at the time. How that painting came to be is a matter of perspective - something both women are still coming to terms with.
