The Penrith Brick Company was established by Bert Jolley in 1914. Clay pits were on the adjoining site, with more pits being opened in Bringelly Road. Five kilns were built on this site of which only two remained along with the chimney, when this photograph was taken. The company also went by the names of Nepean Brick Company and Kingswood Brick Company
