Reverend Patrick Mahoney was born in County Tipperary Ireland in May 1841. He was ordained in 1863 and arrived in Sydney in December 1869. In 1885 he was transferred to Penrith where he was appointed Parish Priest in 1888. He was one of the first trustees of the Nepean Cottage Hospital. he died in January 1892.
