The interior of Penrith Electricty Station. Penrith had one of the earliest corporate owned electric supply stations. The station's foundation stone was laid by Mrs T. R. Smith on 30th April 1890. Supply of electricty to customers commenced on 3rd October, 1890. The photograph was reproduced from the Town & Country Journal 7 June 1905.
