The Q Theatre, Railway Institute building in Belmore Street, Penrith began in 1977 as a lunch hour theatre presenting one act plays at Sydney's Circular Quay and later moved into the old Railway Institute Building donated by Penrith City Council. The building was demolished in 2006 and the Q Theatre was moved into the Joan Sutherland Performing Arts Centre in High Street, Penrith
