The magnificent Nepean Gorge near Mulgoa, was one of the many areas along the Nepean River that was used by the Mulgowie Clan. With its rugged scenery and beauty, around 1870, it attracted early explorers and boating operators like Squires, Bennett, Welch and Rowe. This photograph of the Nepean Gorge is not far from the Rock Outlook in the north and the junction with Warragamba River at Norton's Basin in the south.
