Discussion for building a Public Hall in Orchard Hills began at a meeting of residents and land holders of Frogmore (now Orchard Hills) on 15 June 1901. The meeting was held in Mr J R Woodland’s residence. In 1934 Mr Fred Mason donated a block of land on corner of Frogmore and Kingswood roads to build the Hall. Through the minutes of their meeting, the Orchard Hills Progress Association, later called Fruit Growers Association reported progress of the building. However, no building was ever erected. In 1964 the land was sold to Department of Main Roads for 50 pounds and the land was later used in the construction of the M4 when the overpass was built over Kingswood Road.
