Photograph was taken on the eastern side of the campus, along the access road John Flak Avenue and shows earthwork and grader on open land near lagoon. Originally the Nepean CAE, Governor, Sir Roden Cutler, officially opened the complex in June 1977. It had grown out of an expansion of Westmead Teachers College in 1973. Nepean CAE became an original network member of the University of Western Sydney on 1 January 1989.
