Remnant homestead planting schemes of Kurrajong & Carob and orchard trees. A large fallen pine tree was also part of the garden design. James McCarthy was granted land near the Lower Nepean River in 1804. A slab house was built with additions and extensions being added by descendants over the next 160 years. Farm buildings included a brandy house, meat house, stables and a hay shed. It is believed that all the buildings were demolished during the 1970's.
