James Beatty died on 11 January 1890 aged 54 years. He was the local Sergeant of Police and died due to injuries sustained whilst on duty. Margaretta Beatty died on 12 August 1916 aged 83 years. She was the wife of James Beatty. Alicia Beatty died on 2 February 1948 aged 73 years. She was a daughter of James and Margaretta Beatty. It is a Gothic marble headstone on a marble plinth. There is a sandstone kerb and a fence of cast and wrought iron surrounding the grave. This headstone, which had since fallen on the ground, was restored in 2012 as part of the 150th anniversary of the NSW Police Force. Photograph K18A shows the restored headstone.
