In 1859 Reverend George Fairfowl Macarthur moved his school from Alexandria out to Macquarie Fields and reestablished it under the name of St Mark's Collegiate School. It closed down in 1868. In July 1931 old students from the school were invited to revisit. Of the 15 old boys located in NSW only eight attended. The Blaxlands and the Cobcrofts have links to the Penrith district. Standing left to right are Dr W. Chisholm, H. H. Massie, W. G. Collings, an old master, Dr Edward Jenkin and S. R. Corkhill. Seated left to right are Fred Blaxland, E. F. Stephen, E. J. Cobcroft & Dr Walter Blaxland.
