St Mark's Church of England Church ws built between 1848 and 1849, designed by Edmund Blackett. The church was partially destroyed by a cyclone in 1903 with the roofs of the vestry and nave removed. The stone belfry was also destroyed. The church was closed in 1929. It was reroofed by Sir Joseph Banks Rover Crew in the 1960s.
