G. E. Bunyan's butcher shop, Emu Plains

George Earnest Bunyan was born at Emu Plains in 1879. He joined the railway when he was eighteen and continued in the service for 23 years. George then took over his brother Arthur's butcher business at Emu Plains, next to his home in Bedford Street. George later opened a shop in Springwood which he ran with his son Eric as well as another shop in Glenbrook which is ran with his son George K after they closed the shop at Emu Plains.
