St. Mary Magdalene Church was designed by Francis Clarke, and built by James Atkinson. The foundation stone of this Georgian church was laid in 1837 and the bricks were made on the Dunheved property. It is adjoined with a cemetery which includes the graves of a number of prominent citizens of St Marys including the King and Lethbridge families.
