This is a Model 8 Linotype machine. Produced in Brooklyn New York, in June 1922 by the Mergenthaler Company. It came to the The Nepean Times newspaper office in about 1946 as a reconditioned machine. The gentleman in the photograph is Mr Alan Connell. The Penrith Museum of Printing is located within the grounds of the Penrith Showground.
