The tweed factory was built by Sir John Jamison on his Regentville property in 1835 and operated by the Rayner Brothers from 1841-1844. It was demolished in 1930. This area later became part of the Nepean Gardens Estate in the 1920's. The photograph was reproduced from the publication 'Nepean Gardens Estate, Penrith. For Private Sale by C. R. Staples & Co.' held in the Local Studies collection at 994.41 NEP. The photograph is from the studios of Hall & Co of Hunter Street Sydney.
