Jane Henrietta O'Brien was born around 1877 at Camden and came to the district as a dairymaid for James Hall and his wife at Mamre. After leaving Mamre Jane was given a gift of a horse and sulky by the Halls and went on to be the mail contractor for the St Marys Post Office. She delivered and picked up mail between St Marys and Littleham which was situated south of St Marys. She would later deliver mail to Werrington. She died on 5 September 1961 and is buried in St Mary Magdalene Cemetery.
