Joy flights, Brooklands Speedway, Werrington

1920s
Archives
The Brooklands Speedway was located on the eastern section of the Frogmore Estate, now the North Werrington campus of the University of Western Sydney. The speedway was established in 1925 by Victor Sutherland but it was not as successful as the Penrith Speedway. By the late 1920s Clifford Moran was leasing the property and built the airstrip putting on joy flights in Tiger Moths.
