The Cobcroft property fronted Melbourne Street with Ropes Creek located at the back of the property. The house was built between 1923 and 1924 by Jack Cobcroft. The girl riding the bike is Joan Cobroft with her companion Betty Cobcroft. Melbourne Street was still dirt when this photograph was taken.
