The cottage was called Gosford and the Brown and Gore families have lived in this home at various times. This area was first subdivided in 1885 as the Hornseywood Estate. Houses like this represent the type of working class housing built within Penrith during the late 1800s, an important period of growth. This house has been a doctor's surgery and professional rooms. This side view has been taken from Warwick Street.
