The photograph has been taken looking northwest. Penrith City Council purchased land in Cranebrook in 1963, releasing it in 1982 as a new subdivision which they called Mt. Pleasant. The name Mt Pleasant reverted back to the name of Cranebrook in the 1990s. The Greygums Oval complex is 14.7 hectares. The Main Oval is 18060sqm in area, 180m long and 120 m wide. The junior Oval is 10000sqm in area, 135m long and 95m wide.
