The neon sign was erected in April 1958 outside the School of Arts building, in Castlereagh Street, which housed the central library of the Penrith Municipal Library. The original photograph is located in the book 'Newspaper Cuttings & Photographs referring to the Penrith Municipal Library' held in the Local Studies Collection at LS027.494 NEW
