This picturesque timber cottage, probably dates from around 1870. These were the early years of the railway line, which reached Penrith in 1863. Built of weatherboard, it features a steep pitched, corrugated iron roof with decorative bargeboards. The verandah has timber posts and valance, and is enclosed by lattice work.
